Boudoir Lingerie

For my final year dissertation Im looking at Mapping the fashions of Nottingham City Center with the chosen subject of Lingerie Worn as Outerwear. This has been a HUGE trend tied up all over the catwalks with a focus on tops and dresses being designed to look like it represents corsetry. Other trends inspiring this are lace, see through and body con. Louise Goldin is one of my favourite designers who always keeps trends sweet and innocent but with a slight edge in terms of silhouettes.

Corset me up

I am finding the lingerie trend sooo interesting at the moment with alot of girls/women wearing lingerie as outerwear. I think this trend is hard to pull off without looking either slightly tacky or sexy but its ALL over the runways at the moment. I have chosen to look into this for my trend for something we do at university called Fashion Map where you map the trend where you live, so I will be going out into Nottingham and taking pictures of anyone who is expressing this look. Heres a little mood board I made to get me started !!!
