Home is where the heart is...

This year for christmas i've not asked for clothes, shoes, handbags or jewelry! All I wish for are some beautiful french inspired decorative pieces of furniture. My ultimate dream is to own a real french antique wardrobe but these come with a very large price tag! I should be moving down to london next month and Im getting very inspired and excited about how I could transform a room. My automatic feelings are drawn to an ultimate girly, pinky and pale feel. Although I do like the rustic blue against white for a calming atmosphere. What is the colour scheme of your rooms? Any suggestions of cheap and lovely homeware?

  1. I love this! I think pale pinks, pastels and whitewash walls look so whimsical. I can't wait to have my own house, I won't even know where to start!

  2. beautiful inspiration moodboard! definitely check out the charity shops and car boot sales when you move to london, i've seen so many pieces like which would be perfect for your dream bedroom!

this is exactly how i used to want my room earlier this year, but after realising i'm not very good with light colours as i'm forever messy, hehe, i decided to take more of a vintage and antique approach :)

    love, jazzabelle. xx

  9. The pale pink shades really work. I'm planning a room transformation for spring, and I was thinking cream walls and curtains, a huge duvet and all the other stuff a myssterious burgundy x

  12. So very pretty, it's actually a great idea. I'm in the process of planning a remake of my room too. Furniture wise, I'm looking at more neutral colours like cream, beige, whites contrasted against black. Then I can add lace, chiffon and other materials (from cushions to lamps) to decorate and kind of personalise the furniture. It's all conceptual atm but this post is inspiring me.

In terms of recommendations, where are you? I have a few recommendations if you're in Sydney.
