Internet drama's over... I am ignoring the fact that I've suffered without internet for more than 3 weeks now and all that needed to happen was turn off my laptop and turn it back on. Damn the sleep function of macs!! Well now I am back and running I thought it most fitting to post a summery outfit as, without tempting fate, the sun has seemed to fill the skies of London :) I always seem to find the sizing of skirts/trousers really off in primark but I found this skirt the other day and it fits just perfectly. It has a lovely colour palette with the most gorgeous florals mixed.

Peter pan collars mixed with white horses makes this dress such a bargain from Primark! Its such an easy to wear dress, throw it on with a cardigan and a bit of jewelry. I teamed this with some cute grey brogues also from Primark which are perfect for the middle weather of Spring! I thought I would add some music to my blog a little, to show you the sorts of music I listen to. Mostly its acoustic with a relaxed feel thats fun to sing to! Lately I have been experiencing a bit of a shopping addiction I haven't seen for a while. Ordering off topshop.com, numerous trips to Primark and going over continually wish lists in my head. This needs to stop if I am going to be able to go on holiday this year. At the moment I am thinking of Morocco but this changes on a weekly basis.... These boots were from the ASOS sale and I have to say are such comfy heels for the day. They are of a similar material to plimsolls so really hug your feet :) x

Having used to work at My wardrobe.com I never fully took advantage of the beautiful clothes and accessories they stock! I had a good look through their website and picked my favourite things that I wish I could buy. With the sun hiding from the clouds recently the skin colour polka dot tights can come out along with the sunglasses! I found this tribal inspired scarf in Primark the other week and im in love with the colours - deep red, bright yellow, a mix of blues and greens. Perfect for the spring time! This weekend has been relaxing, I worked at Coach on Saturday and today I have been along Oxford St in the search for some basics for summer! I will share my finds :)

So I have been waiting around 7 years for Coach to make the move oversees to the UK! The time has finally come. Coach has their first standalone store in Westfield, London. I am currently working saturdays there as I have wanted to work for this luxury brand for 11 years now and this is the perfect opportunity. Coach's two collections that have the spotlight are Kristin and Madison.

Kristin takes inspiration from the 1960's with the sillouhettes and the hardwear. The bright bold colours reminiscent of bloomed flowers mixed with woven leather and embellished python make this collection a key focus.

Madison plays with leather pleating and subtle metallic shines. The focus here lies in the old fashioned horse and carriage hardwear and brings a pale colour palette to the perfect spring handbag.

Only properly exploring the wonders and hidden gems of Portobello Road the other weekend, I fell in love. Made you look artwork, pastel houses reminiscent of the sea side, Hummingbird bakery, vintage shopping and antiques everywhere. I soon developed a passion for one of the most expensive neighborhoods in London. I can dream.. right? I fell in love with a store where if I could I would just spend all my savings in getting a whole new wardrobe, solely from this Apple tree boutique. Unfortunately they do not have a transactional website so you will have to pop down!

I had my first visitor last weekend, Becky!! We decided to have a wonder around spitafields and brick lane. It was a saturday so the market wasn't actually on but lots of vintagey and boutique shops were open. I went back to The Laden Showrooms, who had an amazing sale on! I have bought one of my favourite dresses ever from there so I was expecting to make some sort of purchase. I will post the shoes from heaven in the next post! Welcome to London!

I have officially moved into the new flat!!!! There are definate ups and downs to the move. Firstly I have no hot water, not ideal! Secondly no internet until late February, which really gets me down! So thank you local starbucks for free wifi, I will now be a regular customer :) I've moved to the borough area in London which is a five/ten min walk from London Bridge which is amazing. I can walk down to the borough market on a sunday to buy fresh fruit, veg, fish and anything really. Here are some of the pictures I've taken since moving down. I'll post some of the flat later this week as I'm still sorting bags of 'junk' out :) I've really missed reading all your blogs this week and I will catch up on all the comments as soon as I can!

These are some of my favourite presents from this Christmas! Desperately wanting to make my new place feel homely and comforting I had asked for Homesense vouchers. Homesense don't have that many stores and not everyone has heard of them but they are owned by TKMaxx and their products are truely beautiful. I have my eye on a large mirror for £200 but that will take quite a bit of saving!

The cream cabinet below was purchased with my vouchers and I am still unsure of what will go inside but it was just too cute to miss. The little JOY hanging decoration was a little stocking filler from my Grandparents, they thought this was sweet because I work for JOY! The mugs were from a set my boyfriend bought me for Christmas, they are tooo cute with little strawberries around the edge.

With all the snow it has been really difficult to get outside but my friend becky lives in the village next over to mine. She managed to get over to mine and we went to the Church Yard to have a little play. We wrapped up as warm as possible in scarves, hats and gloves and had home made cookies when we got home. We made snow angels, drew hearts and jumped around in the snow like school children. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas!!! I was a bit too excited when the light snow started to turn into more of a blizzard. It was sooo freezing cold outside and the snow was too wet to stay outside and take photos. It was much nicer inside with a cup of tea, warmth and slippers :) I have been stuck in my house for almost 3 days with my drive being a slight hill and edging onto a main road it wasn't safe to leave. This cardigan is such a great staple piece this winter! It's sooo lovely and warm and has amazing detailing in the way it falls and the elbow pads. I don't know how many of you know who Coach are? With my Step Dad working for them I am proud to admit I am a total Coach Girl. A handbag has to have something very special for me to purchase it, if it's not a Coach! They have such versatile bags, evening, day time, in your face, subtle, metallic... oo the list just goes on. I was really excited when I found out their plans to move over to the UK!! So now the UK can live the Coach dream!

Just like the rest of England I am snowed in and wrapping up very warm over the weekend. Traveling to work has been made difficult as well as practically walking on sheets of ice. I have not fallen over ... yet! I need to make it my priority now to buy some boots that actually have grip! The shops have been less busy which has made christmas shopping easier and more enjoyable :) This is my favourite coat I have ever owned. I bought it on a cold winter day in New York two years ago and have still not wanted to replace it. It keeps me warm, it provides colour in winter and its a lovely fit!

This year for christmas i've not asked for clothes, shoes, handbags or jewelry! All I wish for are some beautiful french inspired decorative pieces of furniture. My ultimate dream is to own a real french antique wardrobe but these come with a very large price tag! I should be moving down to london next month and Im getting very inspired and excited about how I could transform a room. My automatic feelings are drawn to an ultimate girly, pinky and pale feel. Although I do like the rustic blue against white for a calming atmosphere. What is the colour scheme of your rooms? Any suggestions of cheap and lovely homeware?

I must admit I do love living in the country when it is a beautiful day like this! The sky was just a beautiful colour with hardly any clouds in the sky. These boots came into French Connection when I was working there and once I had tryed them on I knew instantly I had to have them, I hope you can see why! It's been a while...!

I've been busy busy busy these last few weeks, starting a new job, looking for flats and trying to keep my social life! I am doing a two and a half hour commute daily into south London, which has allowed me to finish nearly two books. I will be back to normal blogging now and hopefully be moving down to London soon! We took a day excursion to the famous little town of Lindos. Its on the southern tip of Rhodes and is just sooo pretty! It was scorching heat when we went although was such a beautiful day. I have just been dying to post about the Sara Shimasue I went to. I have been on my holiday to Rhode, Greece for a week. I have so much to catch up on, all the Milan, Paris, and London shows. Sara Shimasue's show was just so beautiful and delicate. Fresh scoops of sorbet colours mixed with feminine fan inspired silhouettes. Gorgeous sun bleached patterns shined through the prettiness of the 50's shapes. It was a fantastic day in London with many cocktails consumed in Soho after.

When I first started looking at blogs to observe how its all done a thought of dread filled my head. I do not have the money to buy all these lovely trends, designers and classic pieces. I know I probably never will either. The other weekend I took my boyfriend down to Brighton for a few days! I had never been before and couldn't wait to shop and see the beach! I took some lovely pictures of the pier, the lanes and street art! I really do recommend anyone that comes to visit the UK that you take a trip down to Brighton. The shops were inspirational with a east london, lower east side feel. Quite a few have asked about how I managed to get the Jimmy Choo internship, I was very lucky and my step dad is in contact with someone at their office, although I still went for an interview. I recently went down to London for the day to meet up with my younger sister and to be interviewed for a Jimmy Choo internship! The internship starts in October for 3 months, where I will be helping out in the PR and Press department along with event planning! Im sooo excited and cannot wait! Moving home from university I can enjoy my home comforts I've missed like my little springer spaniel Lottie, my garden, home cooking and the laundry being done for me!! I really love mixing different patterns especially stripes and polka dots, and with blue being one of my favourite colours to wear this outfit was perfect for one of my days off in the sun! Im excited to have two amazing holidays planned for the summer. Rome next month and Rhodes in September, im feeling huge shopping trips! These pictures were taken in Milan when I was last there, I always love walking past this wall on the way to an area called Brera which is the home to lovely bakeries, shops and corso como. I love pastel colours and stripes for some reason they make me happy, especially in the summer! Ive been working full time at the moment, so I've been finding it hard to blog as much because when I get home its tea time and then bed time! How do the rest of you do it?

I have come across an absolutely beautiful collection by a designer called Sara Shimasue The collection is titled 'Hundreds and Thousands' automatically caught my eye as the name is so summery and fun. The clothing is beautiful in every single way, the colour palette is pale neutral and just perfect for this season. The shapes are wearable, structured and very feminine. The origami like pleats remind me of an ice cream which I think is such a lovely concept for a summer collection. My favourite piece has to be the baby pale blue pleated dress, I would love that sitting in my wardrobe, would be perfect for a wedding or just an evening out! I really think Sara Shimasue is one to watch in the future! I have been in contact with Sara and was really interested in her inspiration behind the collection, this was her response;

The theme for the collection was very much inspired by a surreal dream I had.

In it I was a rosy-cheeked little girl skipping through a wild flower field on my way to a summer fair. Without warning the birds fell silent, the sky somehow shifted and a beautiful crystal fell from the fluffy clouds and into my arms. As the sun reappeared and the birds began to tweet again I thought nothing of it, I just put the crystal in my pinafore pocket and happily continued on my way. But as I reached the fair the light had changed and everything seemed brighter, distorted and strangely magical...

I visited Milan for one of the last times this weekend to help my boyfriend move back to the UK. It was also our one year anniversary on the saturday so he took me to Lake Garda for the day. It was just so beautiful there, we didn't do much just walked along the water, had a few coronas, lazed around and had a lovely meal by the marina!

I finally have my life back, after the stressful week of the hand in for uni! My degree of Fashion Marketing and Communications is over, and I have to admit it feels a bit strange! Ive been super super busy this weekend and this week, its my final degree deadline on friday and ive been working with Brighton Fashion week to so Ive had no time at all. But it will all be over soon, no more late nights, red bull and stressing :) Here is a moodboard I made on a recent photoshoot in Vogue UK, I quickly fell in love with the use of colour, very subtle yet striking! I previously posted the behind the scenes from the press day exhibiting the Nottingham Trent Fashion Design students work. It was there annual fashion show last night and it absolutely took my breath away. I have hundreds of pictures I couldn't possibly share with you all. But I have picked my favorites from the evening and split them into trends so you can see more! Unfortunately I was unable to get any pictures of one of my amazing friend Vicky Hunts outfits as they walked a different way to where I was sitting! I'll wait for the professional ones to share her work!

Upon entering the evening displayed center stage was my other friend Steph Dales work. Honestly words cannot describe how beautiful her 3 product collection was. A wedding dress with layered tulle took the spotlight, sitting next to a white exaggerated shoulder dress and a cute sophisticated grey cocktail dress. Her illustrations were just perfection, girly and some of the best work i've ever seen.

Other work was displayed in a very feminine way with sweets, stripes, candy colour palettes and beautiful pale blue drawers.

Accessories were umbrellas, books, oversized bubble balloon necklaces and un-matching shoes!

I wanted to share this amazing store I have just stumbled across. I find the visual layout and creativity so inspirational along with the talented brands they stock. Run by the beautiful Zoe Lem, the store layout reminds me slightly of a vintage store mixed with Urban outfitters and topshop, with a more luxury feel. Two designers who really caught my attention were Miss Tea and Olivia Rubin. Miss Tea is a Swedish based brand specialising in some of the most beautiful necklaces I've seen. The miniature tea cups and pots are made from glass porcelain and rolled gold! Oliva Rubin graduated from St Martins and focuses on bold graphic prints. There is a touch of femininity with the contrasted rose pinks shining through the neutral palette, placed next to electric blues for a strong but soft look. Next time your in London make sure you stop by this wonderful wonderland.

I went to a press day last week organised by Jenny Bishop and Morgan Parker, showcasing the amazing talent of the design students at Nottingham Trent University. The layout of the press event was beautifully designed with great use of space and visual merchandise. A low lit room with a focus on each piece gave each piece its own light. A great use of photography and sketch books were placed as you walk in, which gave a representation of what was to come. I wanted to share some images as there is some true talent at Trent. Their main fashion show will be on this coming thursday so I can show you some more of the beautiful clothes! Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!

Bed of Flowers

These pictures were taken in our local Arboretum, down the road from where we live. All of the flowers have blossomed and the cherry blossom trees bloomed so it was a perfect opportunity to play in the flowers. Although a few nasty bees and wasps did not like me there, I had to get to the beautiful tulip, standing on its own surrounded by the sun shine yellows and violets. For my Graduate Show we had to design business cards to sit next to our work! I had been playing around for quite a while with ideas, putting images I had styled on there and my key attributes but I decided to go with my banner image, and my simple details. With Tim Walker being one of my biggest inspirations I placed my CV on top of some of my favourite photographs just for fun really! The images came from his Hardcover book, which my boyfriend got me for my birthday a couple of months ago!

Recently shooting Chiara from The Blonde Salad I checked out Rosie Hardys work and it blew me away. For me shes up there with Tim Walker, Im in love with how she turns photographers into scenes from a magical book. Everything is a fantasy. I love the almost cold atmosphere some of them have but always with a glimpse of hope from a bird of a butterfly in the background. I think these are more than images, they are messages, beautiful messages!

It seems that the galactic trend is all over the blogsphere at the moment! The dreamworld has entered a futuristic landscape where beauty sparkles and fantasy comes alive. Here are two moodboards I have made showing the different trends with the world of the galactic!

Vintage Sparkle

A champagne nostalgia sees glitz and spilt glitter with a muted colour pallet the nudes and pastels receive a reinvention. Floating in the atmosphere are muted purples, broken beige, tinted turquoise and powdered pinks. The key items are a sequin sparkly jacket, short shorts and an out of this world structured dress.

Futuristic fantasy

A bold and earth changing statement with triangles leading the way for a shooting star in the dark and mystical sky. Lost in the nights sky you will catch a glimpse of a deep and earthly purple, sky opening blues, earth greens and misty browns. Key items are ballerina lace, black evening sparkles and striking lighting inspired prints.

I've had a really stressful day concerning everything to do with university. With the biggest deadline of my life coming up in 3 weeks it will be caffeine, pro plus and a definite lack of sleep!! But some good news is I did an interview for WAS (we are sweet) online magazine and that was published today so here are the images I sent off it for and some of my answers. When did you become interested in fashion and photography? do you work in this field?

I became interested in fashion from a very young age, being obsessed with shopping and spending all the money I could earn on new clothes. This love has grown with me, now being a main passion for me. I was properly introduced into the world of photography about two years ago and my love for this industry is ever growing. Two photographers that inspire me the most are Amanda Pratt and Tim Walker.

Today what is your strongest inspiration?

My strongest inspiration has always been from printed media, especially magazines. Currently the magazine that provides me with the most inspiration and excitement is Lula. Its a very girl publication with a scrapbook and fantasy feel to it, always showcasing extremely talented stylists with such original ideas and concepts. My dream in life would be to style a photoshoot for Lula.

How long have you had your blog?

I have been running my blog for around a year now, however I only really started paying attention to it over the last 4 months where I have put my heart and soul into posting about what people might want to hear about. I am very greatful for all my readers and comments, they really make my day.

When you don’t work what do you do?

Unfortunately at the moment every single hour of my life is dedicated to work work work. But when I do get some time off I can’t ever sit still, I love being exposed to anything that will inspire me so take any opportunity given. I obviously love to shop, collect magazines, predict trends and socialise.

Through my university work I have developed a real passion for trend prediction, and not really having enough time at the moment to really put my heart and soul into it I've been trying to subconsciously track them in my head. I've been noticing a trend in the use of bubble gum, derived from the popularity of the word bubble, the cuteness of the concept and also the girliness. There are two trends with the world of bubblegum but today I've focused on the vintage, pale and rose tinted version. Im in love with this dress my boyfriend bought me for my birthday! I always love floral prints but this dress is so different to any normal floral, I love the bright red and blue mixed in with white. The innocent world of Miu Miu

As a typical girly girly I obviously have sooo much love for Miu Miu, especially their lated collection which is one of the most amazing I have ever seen. I might even put it out there for my favourite ever fashion collection. I found this editorial on Clever Nettle blog which by the way is a lovely blog. The editorial is from one of my favourite Japanese magazines called Fudge !! I love the innocence of the models in this along with rustic and vintage furniture and of course the doll like theme that is throughout every image! Their hair and make is styled to perfection and really allows you to step into the world of Miu Miu! The top of my wish will be those red shoes for a very long time!!

So over the weekend, me and Louise had been planning for a month to go out to Milan to surprise Harry (my boyfriend) He literally had zero idea that we were coming! So we waited outside his work Friday evening and got to see the shock on his face when he turned the corner, it was amazing! So we had a lovely weekend full of coffee, appertivo's, sun and brioche :) We went to my favourite store - 10 Corso Como and again I fell in love with everything as well as the Maison Martin Margiela concept exhibition where all walls were covered with pencil drawings and a beautiful desk :) Here are some photos I took over the weekend!

They have titled each image with some beautiful and summer like names which I just think makes the clothing and shots more personal. This shabby chic interior stylist 'Lulu Aldunate' is one of the most talented interior stylists I have yet seen. These photos look like they could be the inspiration of taken from the look books of either Lula or Anthropologie - two of my main sources for inspiration. The hand made, lace and floral theme is beautiful and this magical women should not go un noticed. I am always a huge fan of anything that can be linked to fairy tales and fantasy. I love this Vogue's editorial which to me is a very clever adaptation of the Cinderella story, styled and shot to perfection. The colourless images almost echo the models drained and saturated feelings. The contrast of the expensive gorgeous dresses placed within normal home settings really works, along side displaying the images in a very Urban Outfitters way. I just thought in particular these images were beautiful!

Staying in Milan for near enough 2 weeks on a 15kg suitcase with my laptop weighing around 5 did not give me my wardrobe I wanted to play with but I did have my little purple jumper, picked up in a small girly boutique in Harajuku, Tokyo. The current alice in wonderland trend is more subtly shown through the use of the white rabbit on the jumper, which is what drew me towards buying it. With the weather warming up it goes perfectly with floral patterns and a cute bow.

Punks wear Prada is a club in Milan to be seen in. It's sometimes pretentious but filled with fashionable folk and extremely inspirational style. Run by the English Journalist - Natasha Slater she has introduced a different, artsy vibe to the Milan night life. As promised a while ago, here are the final images from my friend Bea's photoshoot featuring myself, Rhi, Lisa and Bianca with Giulia as the model. The images came out amazingly, really pretty and interesting showing how each person accessorizes an outfit differently. I chose two bows in the hair (a must for me) and a really pretty cream and gold shell bag from primark! These were mixed with a range of gold and black necklaces and a colourful vintage bracelet I picked up in the WilliamsburgArtist and Flea Market over the summer. The whole point of the shoot was to show individual approaches to accessory styling along with the meanings behind jewelry.

Today has been a very busy day, shooting our campaign for our Diesel final year project. We scouted a launderette right by our flat, with a lovely old grandad like owner who kindly let us use the space free of charge with no customers. We supplied him with some shortbread as thanks! Our model Adam has done previous work with Diesel in promotion and modeling which is why Mell and I were excited to work with him! We were going for a comical and playful shoot. So today Mell and I have been frantically planning a photoshoot for our Diesel campaign, we have managed to bag a real life Diesel model (thanks to Mell) and we will be working with him tomorrow in our local laundrette! So much research has been done into styling, posing, location and photography shots. Here are some of the beautiful images I found - obviously this is not the way we will be going with the shoot as we need to aim it at Diesel consumers. We are looking at a more sports americana with some comical elements.

With my lovely boyfriend living in Milan at the moment, I get to visit quite a bit so I thought I would share some of my most recent trips pictures. Two of my most favourite things to do in milan is to have Brioche and Cappuccino in the morning and Aperitivo and a strawberry Caipiroska in the evening. A caipiroska is a cocktail that is just beautiful! This last time was exciting because the new Marc by Marc Jacobs had opened up with the cafe inside. Not being able to afford the food at the cafe I was able to buy one of the cheaper necklaces with a looking glass on it and two little lipstick pens!

A bit of a darker theme of normal shoots Im drawn to but pale porcelain complexion against the misty dull background is just beautiful. The styling is just lovely, the nudes and pinks really stand out, with over sized elements and knee high socks. It reminds me of stills from a movie, with the hair styled like this the model could be Johnny Depp's mistress from a film like Sweeney Todd. I love the feel like it has been shot in someones old broken loft. This is beautiful!

Over the summer of last year, I went to LA to visit my best friend Nate, who showed me around the best parts of Los Angeles. The City was amazing, I really need to go back and spend more time there. One of the first places I wanted to visit was Beverly Hills, so we took a day and drove everywhere - which is normal for LA! Staying in West Hollywood we were in perfect position. It was something out of desperate housewives.

The trees were perfection, the views were perfection, it was just beautiful! Such a picture perfect place.

Always reading Mademoiselle Robot (check her out) I've been introduced to LouLou Love You. This has to be the cutest designs I've seen in a while. They are super girly, sweet and innocent. Everything I like from clothes. The styling is gorgeous with a subtle yet very effective flower hair band, giving it an almost fairy or angle feel. The back drop is perfect too, makes the shoot fun and summery. Everything about this Lingerie/Fashion brand is too cute, I keep thinking it should be in somewhere like Japan, not the UK! Over the summer, I took a few days out of New York City and went to stay with my parents at their home by the sea in Maine, it was as expected beautiful. Cape Elizabeth is the typical New England place, with strawberry picking, lobster catching and lemonade selling.
